A friend of mine that owns his own small engine rebuild service (family owned since 1962), and heqad porting shop has alot of motors, when I say alot I am not kidding like 20 or 40 he has at least 100 desirable engines from all makes at his shop, and will part out, and sell what ever people are looking for. wether it be a couple of valve springs springs main caps, or a block.
what I have seen "around there"
buick olds pontiac motors 389 ,430, 455's, 400's all muscle car era motors
chevy - I have seen everything out there except 409's, 4 bolt and 2 bolt main of any motor 283 to original big block ls6 parts
mopar - big blocks I know for a fact he has at least 10 BB mopars as for small blocks, he has a few
Ford 351 cleveland 4V motors 428 4V motors, origianal complete 1965 289 high output
tranny's - what are you looking or I know hell have it
heads - anything you want he has a few pairs of, in all kind of configurations, he also has a set of brodix aluminum heads for a SBC
just trying to help out a friend, hes been building/racing his personal outlaw stock at the local dirt tracks this season and could use the extra cash.
Everything he sells is cleaned up and checked over has a very very good reputaion with the circle track guys and at the drag strip in our area. email me with what your interested in a good way to reach you. I will be heading down there soon maybe I could haul some stuff dwith me to save you guys some shipping cost.

6g72's are uncommon around here I think. I havent even seen a wrecked car I could get one from yet. But I'll keep an eye out.

vic - depends on the drop, and the max amount of bound that strut can handle. just jack your car up and measure how much strut piston/rod is bare and out of the strut casing, then measure the strut case, lower you car (or put the cars spindle on a jack stand to simulate tire) and see how much of the bare strut piston/rod is still out there subtranct that from your total length of case and thats how much is inside. give or take an inch or so.
So then take the new drop amount 1 1/2 - 2 inches?, and add it to the length of that piston inside the case. look at the case and hope you still have about 2/3 the room you had for compressed oil or gas
or you can just cross your fingers they dont blow out hehe.
MKIII supras had adjustable dampers from the factory also and I belive Tokico made a model for such applications, dont know how reare they are and dont know any part #'s off hand I'll let you know
Tokico Illumina, is supra tems compatable, probably a certian part #. its not the same as the 5 way? adjustable illumina youd usally seee though
64 malibu - On the brodix heads I'll find out asap for you probably go by there in a few hours.

good example here, thats one of the strut casing I chopped and turned into a coil over, next to it is a stock corolla strut piston, now if I drpeed my car 3 inches like the coil over sleeve alows me to, that rod would have blown out the ass of that casing first speed bump I bet

ahhh. i may need you to do that. i would love to keep it. man engaging the sport mode on the suspension makes a world of difference on how the car handled at top speeds. i didnt get to try it out much but once or twice before the tranny gave way. i would love to keep it. i would not like to damage them because they arent the cheapest in the world. maybee we can meet up one day and you can show me in person.

64malibu - so sorry the brodix are gone, he promised them to a guy the other day it turns out.
However there still some hope, he has a good set of corvette aluminium fast burns, I am sure they have a damn good vavle job (3 angle+radius) for 500$, not too bad I dont think. if your interested I can get some pics.
Vic - no problem man, I'll look into the 3kgt stuff, and try to find you a tokico part # I know they made them at some point. strut case chopping is not too bad I dont think just gotta pay attention to the details. as far as a tranny, havent seen any wrecked ones around, but you never know I'll keep a look out.

64 malibu, I dont think there going anywhere realy. A bunch of people try and low ball him around here. 500 for a set of aluminum fast burns is a good price though, I think they go for 700-1000 reguarly.
there the same heads that come on the GM ZZ383 crate engine, which makes 425 hp w/ a 9.7:1 CR, you could run more comp. than that on pump gas with aluminium heads and forged pistons and make alot more power.

I thought you found one locally a while back, oh well though. umm I guess youve tried the local yards too? I'll ask around usally those things are pretty common, no luck finding a wrecked geo or corolla in the ghetto either for me around here I'll look around but you may have better odds than me stumbling onto one down there, I dont see that many toyotas sitting up here in west tx.

DSM talon-
running motor minus manifolds or just a core (rebuildablr long block)
64malibu- man I think he has a few pair 305 heads already i'll mention it but like I said this is to fund a dirt track car, so he would prefer cash.
