well the day has FINALLY come.....monday will be my last day in victoria (as a civilian) i leave for Lackland AFB on monday evening for boot-camp. it will probably be atleat 5 to 6 months before i get a chance to come back but even when i get the chance, the only real reason to come back would be my friends and family. it all good though, i voluntarily signed up for this so i have no reason to complain about any of it. and i know that its going to be a life changing experience and that only good can come from it.

I know I don't know you, but I just separated from the AF. It is not as difficult as you have in your head right now I promise. Best advice from me, don't volunteer for shit in basic, when they hand out duties, ask for pad duty (sweeping the formation pad-CAKE!), and when you get to your duty station, volunteer for everything. It really helps you to get btz, which is more money, and more rank. Any questions at all, feel free to ask. GOOD LUCK!

You're doing a good thing. You get paid...get trained...and get money for school...as well as the texas hazelwood act when that isn't enough.

Recruitors will chase people forever. After i left the Navy, i had recruitors trying to get me back in constantly.
But of course i learned Never Again Volunteer Yourself.

I've got a brother who is a LTC in the Navy, and a sister who is an E6 in the Air Force Reserves (after 6 years of active duty).

It's a great opportunity. And if you have the chance in your carear in the air force..volunteer for the Leadership positions. Even if it's just cheezy crap like Color Guard. It will help you get farther faster.

i do not approve with enlisting in anything where you get payed chump change and promised a college education when you still end up working with others who never enlisted. risking your life for that is crap. risk your life and make money at least. hell i would rather sell drugs then at least you make more and if you get caught you only do 1-4 yrs and its the same as being shipped off to iraq....haha i see people all the time working at wal-mart, corner stores, best buy, wendy's and various other chump change jobs who have been in the service..... what happend to those good checks and college education. fuck that

you failed to read my second post. it was just my opinion, some do enlist for the money because they have nothing else. enlist for the promises some recruters make. i was a phone call away from enlisting into the reserves so dont think i dont know, but i realized i was going for the wrong reasons and backed out. i respect our troops and support them, but at the same time i hate that they are out there dying, i have seen families of troops, troops who have passed and its not a pretty site. it sucks and i just believe that our troops dont get payed enough for dying. there is no pay that is great enough to do something like that. i do not hate the service i disagree with the goverment. with the recent loss of my mother i now understand the power of death. i havent up to this point. and i do not wish that upon any families or any parents. i do not believe in parents burying thier kids. thats not the way life should be. you took my post wrong and hope you understand a little better now. it takes a certain person to go out there and risk thier lives, i understand that but at least get payed what you deserve. look at the nfl for instance. there is a coach and a quarterback. who makes more? the quarterback cause a quarterback leads the team and the team wins games. i know it also takes good coaching but the coach doesnt take the hits. now the world. say george bush is the coach and our troops are the team who should be payed more? our troops cause our troops win wars. our troops and their families take losses while the fucking president is in his fucking mansion. our troops should be taken care of like an nfl team is, the quarterback makes the money.

I wake up around 4am to get processed and sworn in and after that, its off to Lackland for BMT. for those of you showing support, I (as well as the rest of the US Military) greatly appreciate it. for those that disagree with it, atleast thank us for fighting and dieing so that you can live the life that you do.

i hope this forum stays up and running as well as gets larger and more populated. i wont be able to visit this forum or any other internet site for that matter until probably around thanksgiving.

i got a couple hours of base-lib before my flight goes to warrior week for a week of FTX, so i thought i would check out the board and see whats going on in the scene. glad to see that this forum is still up and running. just a small update on my situation...i graduate in a couple weeks and from there i head to my tech-school....leedog, i didnt get PAD crew (luckily) and was promoted to an Element Leader so i dont have any specific detail.

fuck dis pussy ass nigga. when u get back from basic training im goin to make another military beat down video. and own ur ass one more time.well dont get ur hopes up cuz its gonna be a while before im back in victoria. after i graduate, i head to the SERE indoc course, anyone that knows about military special forces ie. SEAL, Delta Force, and Ranger programs, should know about SERE. and after the indoc here at Lackland, i will be in washington for several months going through SERE school to become an instructor....ill break it down a little for greg cuz we all know hes a little slow...Navy Seals, Pilots, Army Airborne Rangers, and even some Marines go through SERE school to get their special forces job. and as an instructor, dont u think i would be at the same (if not higher) caliber physically, mentally, and psychologically as them? so if u want some, COME GET SOME. otherwise, quit running ur damn mouth
