Looks like someone dumped something on the track and didn't catch it.

Nice save though. Did you have to change your shorts afterwards?

Wow,that musta been after we left! I'm glad both you and the car are ok! Last night seemed to be problem night for quite a few people at the track. But it was still fun, a lot of nice cars and times! lol.

Thanks guys for the comments. No Aggie, my shorts were still dry but it was definately a xanex moment. Freakin car would not hook on the line, off the line, down the track, etc, lol. Yeah Silver, all I did was spin. Gotta fix this situation before Lil Jitsu runs again in this car. I believe the car is strong but I think drag radials or slicks and some suspension upgrades may now be in order to accomadate the stall. I think the stall may be to strong to run the current street tires when its balls to the wall all out runnin. What do yall think?

How was the track prep? Were there others having traction issues?

Every time I go to San Antonio the track prep sucks, that is whay I usually go to Seally.

Hey Aggie, I was not really paying much attention beccause I spent more time in the staging lanes cause the place was so crowded. I ran a grudge match agaist a weaker car and it seemed that he hooked of the line preety well. All I know is that I spent more time spinning tires than anything else!
(R2D2 say's) Help me Obiwan Kanobi !!!!!!!! :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead::notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead: :notworthy: :sad3: :banghead::notworthy: :sad3: :banghead:

I never had any traction issues at SAR. I cut me best 60ft of a 1.34 60ft at SAR.

What Kind of tires were you runnin Roy. I was on Kuhmo Ecsta Z rated Street tires. I'm still confused about why I was not hookin cause the car before the stall never had that issue. Ran a 12.9 last time we were there wth a 60 of 2.1 whithout trhe stall. Slow 60 was what prompted me to install the 3400 Fuddle. I believe that this stall combined with these tires at the track are a no-no.

I was running some MT Et drags 28 x 10.5 x 15.
I would not use those Kuhmo's for the track. Maybe for the drive up to the track and that's it. The reason the car hooked on those tires is becuase the stock stall allowed you to launch at a low RPM, letting the car roll out a little before it reached its power band and did not shock the tire off the line. The new 3400 Fuddle allows you to launch the car at a higher RPM in the power band and the tires you have on the car can't handle the extra torque off the line. Get you a set of MT ET street drag radials on th car and then you will see what kind of improvement you will have in your E.T. with the new stall and drag radials. I believe you have 16 inch wheels on your car right now. Try these P255/50R16 MT ET street drag radials. If you have 17 inch wheels try the P275/40R/17.

did you get a time??? Lol just giving you a hard time. :thumbright:
that sucks but thank god you didnt wreck the car or you werent staged on the right lane. lucky for the other guy too, for barely edging you out at the 1/16 mile, had he not both of you would have been skrewed i dont think insuance covers drag racing wrecks even if it is the "LEGAL" way.

Time post was eternity bro!!!! :confused2: He got his edging out from my complete loss of traction, thank God! That will get fixed before we run again. Will be runnin drag radials next time :confused1:also more launch practice with the new stall to ensure proper hook.

Dean: I am extremely happy and greatful to be alive as well as the other driver and his vehicle. If you look at the title of the video and the credits, on it the credit for the save is given to whom it is deserved---GOD.
I don't believe in luck per se but I do believe in the hand of God and his mantle of protection as well as skill that comes from experience. I ALWAYS pray for the racers, their cars but most of all their safety before I race. I had this happen to me when I was 20 yrs old in a Chevy Vega Super Motion (V8 in a 4 banger body) Drag racing in Puerto Rico, where I lived then. There again I was spared from injury or wreck.
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!!!
Thank you all for your concern.
I thank the lord that it was me and not my son!!!!!!!
God bless you all.

Glad to see that turn out positive. Had that been about 8 seconds later, it would have been really dangerous. Good story to tell though!

Lol, I did something like this on Main once...also not on purpose...I know what it feels like to think you lucked out...only difference...there were more cars on Main St. Lol, when it was over I was like wth, how did I pull out of that wthout a scratch. Eh, I knew how, and it wasn't just my awesome driving either.

Yeah, I was just glad I didn't hurt the car. Some newbie with a fresh lisence moved from the turning lane back into the left lane on Main...guess where I was, you got it...the left lane. I thought it didn't hurt anything to find out later that night on the way home from work that the battery cable had come loose and hit something hot and in turn breaking in half...so yeah, it was a decently easy fix in the parking lot of the little Guns and Ammo store on Main St. I'm used to nights like that though, you have to have patience when you have an old car. I'm glad you came out of your lovely little spin safe.
