Hey dog, doesn't your Stang forum have a tech section for stuff like that. I think LS1 tech.com has expanded to include a stang area, might wanna check just in case.
Now I will def have to rush into the Lab. BHAHAHAHAHAHA !

Probably be easier and faster in the long run to have someone do it. I think the performance shop up here charged me like $400.

Here is the problem and the reason for the rush.... The person who owns the car that has the cams has SOLD the car to a Dealership and they are coming to pick it up Monday .. Lets see .. I try and get these cams today and do the swap for only the cost of some food/beer/and some cash to my boy OR I purchase a set of cams for $600 and then pay a shop $400 so I am out $1000 .. which sounds better ???

It shoudlnt take more than a weekend to do the swap. youve gotta love the barter system!
Person 1: Ill swap you this 20 pack of budweiser and 5 Dollars for that old car over there.
Person 2: OK

I dont know how different your motor is to a 96-98 but heres is a page that show 99+ cam & head swap onto an older one so I guess you could use this as a running start.

hey Brian,

dont rush this job! get on corral net they'll have some info. and if you miss out on this dont sweat it you can get on racing junk and find some patriot heads and cams that some one is trying to sell

Brian, you will need ford tool #T96T-6256-B(camshaft lock tool) ford tool# T91-6565-A(rocker arm installation tool) a dial indicator with 4" extension and the screw in post for the dial indicator a postive stop tool everything else like valve adjuster, timing wheel and pointer you can find among your friends!! ive heard where the 99 and up motors require new gears and hardware i can't answer as to all the diffrences in the romeo and windsor power plants other than the # of bolts for valve cover but you need to make sure thats the only diffrences if your talking about a swap from a romeo and a windsor!

Well we ended up deciding NOT to do it ... Not enough time ... I guess I will have to put the cams on the back burner for awhile ...

I am trying to figure out my next step though .. I have the MOD bug and I cant shake this damn thing .... Finish my Suspension (Drag Suspension, Lowering Springs for the front, Shocks/Struts, Caster Camber Plates )???

i guess you can start saving for the patriot heads and stage 2 cams  its best to never rush cam swaps on mod motors!!

Hey Dog, greedy, greedy makes a hungry little puppy.LOL
Screw it up now while rushing and suffer later!
That car of yours is too nice to try and rush a job that requires dedicated time. I'm kinda glad you decided against it for fear of getting my butt whooped........what am I thinking.......scratch that last statement!!!!!!
All kinding aside, I think that when you go slow and plan it right, research parts and install so that puppy will fly like you want.

Well problem there Dean is that I have a Custom Dyno Tuned Car ... All the kits I have seen for around $500 DO NOT have a Bottle Warmer, Purge Kits or Window Switches = NO SAFETY!!!!!! The total cost to put N02 to the car is $1000 for a 75 Shot and that Includes a Re-Tune to get my AFR right for the N20 ... You got $1000 you want to give me ????

Maybe I could sell some cookies and coke and start a Bulldog Nitrous Fund ??? Sound good ???? lmao!!!!
