1)Take photos with Digital camara and download to your computers picture folder.
2) go to photobucket.com and start your own account for free
3) upload video or pics per their instructions. Very easy just browse, select and click.
4) copy complete url or image address and then paste it on your post
5) go drink beer and celebrate current technological advance you have made.
6) instruct other newbies how to do the same when they have your same problem

I heard that those gears are for an older camaro as they are the 8.75" Gears ... They will not work on a 1994 Camaro as it has a 7.5" rear end .. might try to sell them to someone with a 1967 - 1969 Camaro .. guess you bought that wrong ones and didnt realize it until you actually got em huh ... haha j/k

I was not joking.
I got a phone call from a friend who talked to the guy that had YOUR gears in his shop. I was told that the gears are 8.75" ring diameter and they WILL NOT WORK in a 1994 Camaro as it has a 7.5" Ring Diameter Rear End.
I was also told that these gears are for a Gen 1 Camaro that has a 8.75" rear-end in it. ie.. the 1969 Camaro SS, Chevelle SS, etc ... basically the ones that came with a 427, 454, etc ..
I cant believe that you were going to sell these to a COP and try to rip my partner (yes he is a Cop too) off due to your mistake in ordering the wrong set of gears for your Firebird.
Thats not how you do business bro. Deal Cancelled.

Well, then I guess it was a mistake and I did get the wrong ones, but the whole SELL THESE TO A COP thing was a little bogus. But yeah if they were the wrong ones then sorry.

12-02-2006, 11:47 AM
It was me who was ripped then, obviously when I got these because I told them exactly what kind of car, what year and which ones I needed. I got them in, never put them in my car and I was just going to get rid of them. I didn't know they were gears for something that old, but don't make it out like I knew I was going to "rip" somebody off, because I have sold a lot of useful stuff for cheap with no problems. First time for everything though, one screw up. Well, your friend doesn't have them so there's nothing to worry about and I can pretty much drop the gears off of the Empire State building and go back to sleep. Once again, sorry because it was not like you may think and if I had found out later I wouldn't have fought with anyone over it, I would have just returned the money.

The gears are not even close to 8.75 in ring diameter. Not even 8.
Bulldog Stang
12-02-2006, 02:16 PM
what are you measuring ?? the inside or outside diameter ??
youreaninja
12-02-2006, 02:49 PM
Either. The inside is smaller than the outside, the outside is not even 8.

12-02-2006, 02:50 PM
I'll take it next door to this guy who does rear ends and just see exactly what they are, or if they are what they should/should have been and get back with you on that, just to clear everything up.

sounds good to me ... the guy is in no hurry to purchase .... he actually rode with me last nite and told me that he had an unexpected bill show up so he does not have the $$ at the current moment. If someone else wants these feel free to sell em ... if not, then he may purchase them IF they will work in his car.

Apologize for the information that I had a the time of the post ??? I was called and told by a person who will remain anonymous and advised that the gears were bigger than what was needed for a 1994 Camaro Z-28. I said what I said at the time due to the information that I had at that time. I was told that Mr Ninja there ordered these gears for his car and they would not work or were the wrong size. Now, if he has a 199x's model Firebird and they didnt or wouldnt work in his car, why or how would they work in a 1994 Camaro. If I/my buddy were to purchase these, then he would be in the same situation as Mr. Ninja is. Stuck with gears that WILL NOT Work for his car and my buddy was going to be out $90 and stuck with trying to find someone else to purchase the gears.
When you are going to sell a part to someone, you need to atleast know the Part #, Brand, and what they wil actually fit in. If I were to sell you a cam for a 350 and I did not know anything about the cam .. ie Brand, Lift Duration, etc... Would you buy it ???? Probably Not.

That para has a lot of assumtions, one being I never said they didn't work for my car. I'd rather someone complain with facts and not "I heard." This has turned into a total mess. I will gather all the info once I talk to my neighbor and write the part # yada yada. The whole "rip my partner off" part just didn't flow because that was not intended and I wouldn't want to rip anyone off and they have the right to look at the gears IF they can. If I can get someone to take better photos I will have them post it up along with all the info. Sorry about the mess...I don't see how someone measured 8.75 when it's not even close. This mess will be cleared up soon. Sorry.

Not a problem. I am glad to see that you are willing to get all the correct info for me and my bud. And, I must admit, I was a little ticked off when I wrote that post about the Cop thing. I am putting my neck out there for a friend and I am not going to screw him over. I believe that you or anyone else on here would do the same for a friend. :)

No doubt and we don't really know each other so I understand a trust issue. I am hoping my neighbor will be home today so I can get this taken care of. I'll get back with you once it's all ready.
