i dont think he will race anyone on the street because of cops, and at the track cause hes scared, but i do see his point in that it does not matter really if you win or lose cause the fact is who cares if your car can make it down the track in 4 seconds you cant do it on the street without getting busted, unless that is what you do for a living. but then again a lot of people care cause its there hobby. anyway, all i know is i doubt he will race anyone anywhere even if he does get stuff done to his car.

by the way abstract i know a guy who can put your turbo kit on for real cheap if your interested, they did another eclipse two weekends ago so let me know. id like to see you get boosted but hey whatever its up to you . laterz

im glad someone is finally getting where im coming from, sort of...im not scared to race at the track (ive never even had the urge to make it up there) but i already sold the turbo kit jason. i sold/traded it to will (forest green eclipse in fierce image) with my clutch and top in like they are, i decided to just say fuck it all and rebuild my motor rather than boost it for a few months and then have to rebuild/replace stuff. but ill let u know whats up when im rebuilding it since u said some people u know could help me out.

dsm_talon - i traded it for some cash and some other shit. all together probably around $2500 including the cash. the reason i didnt post it being for sale on here is because there are only a couple people on here with the 420a and i didnt think it would have much interest.

Although...for 5grand...you could import an evo motor to drop in.

well i was planning on putting it on and all but when my clutch started fuckin up and my top end (either fuel or ignition) started being gay i decided to sell it since i didnt have a job at the time and i needed money to pay bills. but considering i paid around 2100 for it and made what i think is a decent profit as well as a better investment into other stuff that i got in the trade, i think i made the right decision. but now that i have a good paying job, i can get my shit fixed and look into buying a less used, if not new setup.

but on the topic of the evo motor... after buying it, i would need to fab some motor mounts as well as new wiring harness and some drivetrain modifications. ive already looked into buy the 4g63t out of an evo or gst/gsx but since i would need to invest alot of money into that swap, it would be cheaper and more effective to just build the 420a and then boost it. but now that im out of debt i can start puttin some money away for my car. if i decide to go with performance, ill probably buy a pre-built 420a and drop it in. with it, i could EASILY run 12-18psi daily with no problems at all. the only problem with buying the motor now is time and $$$ but if i can keep my job going good, i should have enough saved in a few months to start really looking into what im going to do. i could either get a 2.2 litre (just a stroked 420a) with some decent internals for about 2500, or i could get a fully built 2.0 for about 4500. the 2.0 comes with full internals. everything that you would normally find in a built motor, but it also comes with all the little shit that some people dont think about moding like better lifters, rods, bearings, oil and water pumps, rockers etc...it also comes with a p&p head with reshaped ports and the ability to choose what compression of pistons you want. you can also choose from different cams for whatever type of setup you plan to go with. the only thing i would need as far as upgrades would be manifolds, oil pan, ignition, and LSD. ya i would need some drivetrain upgrades but not much.

but all of that is just dreams and hopes as of now because im no where near able to afford much of anything until i get a few more checks. but it shouldnt take long cuz its not like im working at mcdonalds or anything. its hellacious backbreaking work put it pays very well and i can work as much as 65 hours a week. sometimes even more. and with overtime ill be making over 13$ an hour so im up for as much of it as i can work.
