six's can do a lot
look at 3000gts
Sure hit me up on my cell i'll pm it for you. As for the 3000gts dont some come stock turbo now those are quick. The procharger is going to run around 4000 adds at least 90 horsepower from rpm outlet. I should have did that first when i had that 4000 in my hand but i want it to be show and go.

you could put a 302 in it for less and have a lot more potential and have more power but if that is what you want to go, good luck

06-04-2007, 08:33 PM
take advantage of the automatic and turbo it.
The only reason i havent put a 302 in it cause i might as well got a gt. the way i want it to be is when i pull up next to someone and woop there ass, i want them to ask is that a gt and me say hell no......... alot of people already ask if its a gt. Some club from Port Lavaca asked if it was a gt when I pulled up to them, they even announce it a gt when i go to the track i got it on video..... Its crazy though i might even take off my 40th anniversary emblems off and replace them with a question mark?????????

A turbo will yield much better results than a supercharger ever will Primo. Turbo's love a load and an automatic trans will give it exactly that. At mild boost (8-10psi), you should be @ 330-350rwhp and 350-380ft lbs. This is just a conservative guess, but I am pretty damn good at that....lol. A 75hp wet shot is still the easiest way to get you a speed fix w/out breaking the bank. That should net you an extra 60hp and 100ft lbs to the wheels over what you have now.

i would also agree to boost the engine. especially an automatic... what current mods are you running and what times? the only downfall i see is there is no available kit and it may run over your budget to build unless you are a welder and can fabricate your own manifolds, piping, ect... the procharger seems more reliable and cheaper since the a&r has been done and the kit is flawless... but hey its up to you. thats my logical 2 cents.... my real answer would be spray the fuck out of it!!! thats me though

There are kits available, both single and twins. Google is your friend. Kits start out at 3500 and go up. There's a guy running a TT setup making 520rwhp and 570ft lbs of torque.

I'm not a genius but I know nitrous isnt GOOD for your engine. Not saying it is terrible, but it sure as hell isn't good.
Take the gearheads advice and throw the turbo in it,besides, who doesn't like hearing psssssst

nitrous is not bad if properly installed. no dry kits though...

its just kinda like
if a turbo messes up its not too big a of a deal
if a nitrous kit messes up, goodbye motor
so whats the difrrence between a turbo kit and a procharger i thought they were kind of the same and i thought the procharger was the one that went pssssssssst. I need alittle more info on the diffrence. The only reason i planned on putting a procharger is cause thats the only one i found. I was thinkin about buying this kit with performance heads cam and all the other crap that comes with it.

Primo..........I commend your efforts, I believe most of us "cut our teeth" on a V6 Mustang, BUT you will never make a V6 more powerful than a V8, given the same budget. Sure you can pour a ton of money into the motor, and lighten the car to run quicker 1/4 mile times, but if the GT or Cobra owner does the same, you will be seeing their taillights. That is just the facts. Now, don't get me wrong.......your extremely "modded" V6 could beat a lightly modded GT or even a stock Cobra. But, apples for apples as far as mods......there is no replacement for displacement!
Seriously consider your budget and think about slow 04's suggestion.....V8 swap.......your insurance will remain the same.
If you want to build up that V6, good luck.........maybe this link will help!

That would be alot of work............easiest swap for '94 - '04 V6 stangs is a five-oooooo! Another interesting idea would be a 4.2l V6.

06-05-2007, 09:47 PM
5.0 HA HA HA HA HA
That would be awesome......
then hed be beating the GT models....
ohh after you beat them tell them you have a V6..just to see there face then break the news...ha ha ha

its just kinda like

ehhh. if nitrous messes up what can go wrong? a backfire? the nitrous just sprays the owner has to be mature enough not to get greedy. its so easy at the track to change pills. the hard part is not going over what your engine is capable of holding. tune for spray and everything installed properly there should not be a problem. even with turbos if your wastgate goes ape shit and you get a nice spike of boost bye bye motor..... if you turn the boost up with a boost controller without proper tuning or fuel bye bye motor.... superchargers are the most safe to me... but to each his own. any power adder has its flaws but most cause of engine explosions is the driver.... redline on boost or miss a shift on spray anything can happen... some motors hold mor ethen others. its in the hands of the tuner and the driver.

The 4.2L built properly with twins can and will beat many a V8 car. All it takes is money, dedication and lots of patience/learning about what works and what doesn't. A power adder of any flavor is just as dangerous to any engine as another. Nitrous is no more dangerous for any engine if installed and tuned/jetted properly. A forced induction setup will trash an engine just as easily and just as fast w/out a good tune. When I went to the Amalie Oil Nationals, every blower Pro Mod car was getting their asses handed to them by the Nitrous cars. It might have been the air or whatever. All I'm saying, for a budget, you can't beat nitrous. I like all power adders, turbo first, but I also like N2O.

well let me put it like this i put maybe 1200 dollars into my v8 and i have over 500 rwhp but my car is heavy as hell so idk
Dead_Stang04
06-05-2007, 11:09 PM
so its decided a 5.0 motor
Now all ya have to do is find one
Bulldog Stang
06-06-2007, 12:36 AM
I can find a 5.0 motor around here .... If you do a 5.0 Swap primo, you can prolly do it cheaper than it would cost for a s/c or a turbo ....
You have mentioned in the past that the insurance on a GT or Cobra was too high for you ... well here is some good news ... if you keep your car and throw a 5.0 or whatever into it, guess what ???? Your insurance stays the same because the VIN# still says it is a V6 ....
Something to think about ... :):)

oh shit @ you sig....lmao
I dont know about the swap if it comes to that ill just sell my stang for 8000 and get a gt with 4000 down and the rest buy same mods as i have on the six.
ebaker
06-06-2007, 11:47 PM
i wouldnt sale your six man its perfect the way it is just do the swap and sell your engine for some extra money to fix up the 5.0.......thats what i would do
Dead_Stang04
06-06-2007, 11:49 PM
Yea The body of your stang is badass dont throw away all the time and effort for a another stang...because then youll have to start all over..
Well thats actually what i was debating on today if i should sell it when i pay it off. If i can get a daily driver and park the stang ill keep it but i just dont want to use the stang as a daily driver

dont sell it you will regret it and kick yourself in the ass when you think about it later.

Redstang, what do you really want out of your car? Do you want pure tire screeching performance or do you want a unique looking six banger with a sting. I have read of modded sixes runnin 12's but that takes some money. Your car looks tight like it is.
If performance is what you want do an 8 swap with a modded 5.0 or 4.6.
Better yet BUY AN LS1 CAMARO. Not real costly to mod but gives good power returns. Good luck on your project!

i feel what you are going through. having a car you absolutly love but being unsatisfied with the power because you dont own the more powerful model. our 200sx was the shit. i loved it but we were lucky to find the deal we did on it but it was not equipped with the more powerful sr20 motor the se-r's come with. i replaced every part under the hood, tranny, full bolt ons stage 3 clutch lightened flywheel, cat back exhaust, full tein coilover suspension i mean nothing was left stock down the the fuel lines, all vacuum hoses everything.... if you found something stock it was the seats and those were out of a new model...lol and with nitrous i was still unhappy. but i loved the car itself. all the money we spent on it we could have done an sr20det swap and been three times as fast. go with the bigger engine. you will save more inthe long run. trust me i went through it already
