If you can't go fast with 90hp, 900 isn't going to do you any good

It's something good to think about. What's the point of making your car super fast if you can't handle it. Just cuz you think you can doesn't mean that you can. It takes people years to learn everything about racing. Don't think that just cuz you have a fast car it means you are a fast driver. It's the skills of the driver that makes good times. I'll trust someone behind the wheel of a saturn if they have been racing it for a few years before i trust a 16yr old behind the wheel of a 300hp car.

Did i mention that i consider myself a novice. Why....cuz i keep finding new barriers to break. Either on the street...or at the autox....and especially when it comes to working on my car. There is soooo much to learn....the fun part is getting to learn the techniques.

Are you wanting to start an official club or a parking lot club :?: If you are wanting to start an official club, you will have alot of headaches :!: Trust me, I know :!: When we started Victoria Mustangs I just wanted to quit because of all the paper work and crap :!: Anyway, if you are wanting to start an official club with all the crap, like dues, t-shirts, graphics, EIN, logos, web site, etc. let me know & we can help you out. I wish we would have had some help. We had to figure it all out on our own. :wink:

You're welcome. Remember if you have any ?, just ask me. Like I said, I could probably save you some headaches :thumbs: Things are not as easy since 9-11. If you are wanting a specific name and do not want someone else to copy (in Victoria someone will want to copy or steal your name), let me know. Also, if you are wanting to collect dues, let me know. I can help steer you in the right direction.

You have to realize, that not everyone is into the car club scene. In my opinion this stems from so many "parking lot" clubs that have come and gone. I believe there are about 4 "official" clubs in Victoria; Classic Chevy, Model A, Crossroads Cruisers and ofcourse Victoria Mustangs.

We have had numerous people show an interest in the club, yet never sign up. We have also had members not renew their membership. Your club will need to evolve, to offer something for everyone.

Again remember, that clubs are not for everyone and don't get discouraged by other individuals opinions. This is a public forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion, just don't take it personally.

Do a websearch for: texas dynodays or texas dyno days.
I know there are alot of clubs that have dyno days every couple of months...and the cost is half of the normal.
Maybe if you find a shop ya'll could get a group discount....just find out the numbers....i'm sure we could put together at least 25 cars...and if it's only 10-20 bucks a run....i'd be willing to jump in just so i can get some numbers.

Since a month ago is there new info on Victoria Imports?! I havn't been on so i'm out of the loop at the moment,but i need info on VI.

I dont have anything against victoria imports i just think some people like me would like to start something new . Involving our younger generation and would just like to be appreciated for trying something new.

Victoria0Imports is something new and I am not an old schooler... Lets just say were old enought o buy beer and have a good time...:) trying something new is cool but we had so many people jump into things that alot of the "clubs" dont work. I been in 3 of em, hell I was vice president of a lowrider club a long time ago. But we are not a club. We are an organization run by members. Noone is ahead of anyonee. Everything is legal and legit. Sometimes a more mature audience can yield better results than immature "kids". no offense just think about it. V-I will be a great place to start...
