I would have to agree on the '99 vert, but I wouldn't speak so fast about the '98. It dyno'd 272 rwhp with just the CAI, plus it now has exhaust, synthetics and oh yea, a full Steeda stage 3 suspension. It doesn't have a problem with "hooking-up", and then at the end of the 1/4 mile you could take a hard 90 degree turn, like you were on rails. 8) :shock: 8)

Just add a tune, gears, a few more bolt-ons and you would be good to go!! :thumbs: :thumbs:

yea i have thought about a mustang seen a couple of 00 on the web the were real nice. i like mustangs too. people can say what they want about them but they cant say they're ugly. what i do like about Ford is that they aren t uptight like gm they build bad ass cars and trucks like the the lightning chey built the ss truck and its slow as hell. thats my only dislike about gm they dont have fun

Don't worry f-body brother I like mustangs too!! I think the best looking ones are the 99+. I almost bought a 00' Laser Red Mustang GT 5-speed about a year and a half ago, very nice looking car. Took it for a test drive and everything. Long story short, ASSHOLE flaked on me!!!! We had a deal and he sold it behind my back :evil: :evil: .

Just a little fyi I've seen a couple 98 cobras at SAR a few years back, first one bone stock--13.9's-14.10's, second one had a CAI and 4.10's--13.3's on stock rubber. Let everyone know if and when you and steeda go to the track that should be a nice race. 4v>2v j/k :D .

If you are interested I am a little more flexible on the price. If things work out in the next week or so, we will have another Cobra in the collection. Once before, we had a collection of five. It is too many for us to maintain. We need to sell these two cars. I don't want to give it away, but the price is negotiable. The car has about 6k in mods. Strictly Performance quoted me 4k to do a Vortech and gear install. They are saying that 8psi, safe tune (stock internals, forged crank) and my current exhaust set-up should net somewhere around 425 rwhp, maybe more. :thumbs:

The NADA on this car is $11,250 (Trade-In) and $13,475 (Retail). Payments on a 60 month note could range from approx. $240 - $290 a month.

When we sell both of these cars we will add another vert.(i.e. Saleen, Roush, Cobra, or something quick).

Yea, the '98 snakes came from Ford a little stronger than the '96 & '97 snakes. Ford did some computer code changes in '98, which netted the GT and Cobra about 10-12 hp. The GT's rating jumped from 215hp to 225hp, but they left the Cobra's rating the same at 305hp.

I am not going to run this '98 at the track. With my luck it might break and then I would have to fix it before I could sell it. I don't think I will take it's replacement to the track. It is very rare and besides, I don't think the Bulldog would want any of that action. Just a little info on the potential new snake, 457rwhp and 396rwtq. :thumbs: 8) :thumbs:

Although those are nice cars, I must stay true to my heart. :thumbs: We like the power plus the rarity of our cars (although they did produce a bunch of the '03 cobra).

A Saleen S281SC speedster vert. would be nice, but why not do it up right and go ultra rare, a S281E speedster. :thumbs:

The wife and I have just recently been discussing a S351 vert. The last year for the S351 was 1999, the 351 pushrod engine could not pass new, tougher emissions standars. I found this one one ebay:

Well, call me picky, but the interior doesn't look like 8k miles. Sometimes people don't appreciate what they have. That would be a kickass car though! I am still partial to the red 94-98 sn95 S351 Saleens, I just like the black hughes (sp) that accent the exterior, and the red ones that accent the interior. The only problem with that one is to the untrained eye, it would be hard to notice that that was an exceptionally rare car. I think there is too much whoopass under the hood for you anyway...hehehe

Chip, the owner, has had his Saleen for sale ever since he has owned the car. I haven't spoken to him in quite sometime, but have considered his S351, it is moonlight blue, which was a special color for Saleen. He dropped the price awhile back to 39k, still a little steep for a '97, but it is a really nice car. As far as taking the '98 & '99 to him, O'ranga is right, he typically buys cheap, repairs, refresh, and re-sells high. I have thought about listing it as a consignment.

Long story short;

Road construction...right lane closed.......I am in left lane behind several cars.........car ahead of me in right lane cuts into left, to avoid construction.......everybody hits brakes..........I hit mine.........then went underneath the rear bumper of an SUV.

It happened on the day it was soooooo windy (35mph winds), alot of dirt on the roadway, I locked the brakes, but with a sandy,dirty road surface, and with the wind behind me.....I just kept going.

Both air bags deployed......cracked rib, f**ked up right foot.

Car doesn't look as bad as when it first happened.........don't want to mess with it........waiting/fighting with insurance company.......then more than likely selling it.

I am sooo sorry that you got hurt in the accident. Cracked ribs are a bitch and they take time to heal. Sorry to hear about the car as well but as with all material things, they can be replaced, even rare ones.
