Im looking to get a class 3 permit. Having alot of trouble finding any info on it around the net. What im looking to do, is make my ak full auto, and from what i understand is i would need a class 3 permit. I have found were it takes about 90 days and there is a hardcore background check which is not a problem for me. Also have to give up your search and seasigure freedom or somthin. Anyone help me out?

i know you have to file some stuff with ATF. i talked to a local police officer about it a while back. you also have to send off a good chunk of change.

u runnin a meth lab or what. at 21 years old theres not many uses for a full auto seeing that youre a regular civilian.

you do not need a class 3 to own a full auto weapon. class 3 is for destructive weapons. you do need however to have either the police chief or sheriff to sign off on you having one. that is pretty much impossible to do unless you know one of them. then on top of that you have to send the application off to the atf. and ther is a fee on top of that.

pretty close bulldog?

:werd: Exactly correct. I dont know any Police Chief or Sheriff that is going to approve something like that for a citizen. Police Officer maybe, but not Joe Blow Citizen ...

^^^^^unless you have a business that involve the buying, selling or trading of guns I would imagine.

Ill have to do somemore checking because i really do want one sounds like alot of fun to shoot.

so your saying i can buy a fully automatic wep as long as its from an individual? But i cant make my ak full auto right? Just making sure that Uzi looks tempting.

So how are these people at gun shows selling these pre ban guns? I dont wanta get into any trouble. That would be the last thing i need. Thanks again for the info, its hard to find this stuff.

just because they are preban doesnt mean they are full auto, it has to do with the bayonet lug, flash compressor and something else

it is only illegal if that person has a ffl and does not make u complete the proper paperwork ... if he is an individual at a show, then he can sell it from a person to person .. not a ffl or business to person ..
