mitsu tech. engine tranny match?

Thanx to the help of some of you(cough'gto chick'cough) I was able to locate a turbo motor from an eclipse gst. I need a fwd tranny 5 speed. I need to know if the tranny off the 1.8l will fit the 2.0 turbo motor.
If not I would rather buy a decent turbo kit and build it myself. I work 12hr shifts so I've thought it out. The motor costs roughly just under 2grand to have it at my door step. If I need a different tranny im sure it'll be around 800 bucks. Plus I have to hunt for the turbo harness and computer .
Rounding it out close to 3500 bucks!! I see kits for 1000 or 1200 bucks then another 5 or 600 im sure to install.

would seem it would be cheaper to buy a turbo DSM rather than building one. just my two cents

Well yeah I have thought many long days .. Bout this project. Its not an easy task for me do to I have never had a turbo or even driven a turbo car.
But I did ride with some friends. Red integra gsr , srt4 neon, eclipse gsx. That's what made me want one.
I will probably talk to a tech at atzenhoffer this weekend and see if my tranny will work with the gst motor.

:twisted: heck yeah so I I have a greddy turbo and will get the exhaust maniflo soon. .... pacesetter monza catback exhaust(powdercoated)
It will be a fun car. Not the fastest but will be up there lol
