Ok I have a 1.8l mpl i4 in my clipse. Its about to go under construction. I wanna bore it out. I found some badass forged pistons for a 2.0 4g63. Is it worth boring my motor to a 2.0 or should I take it to a 2.4? Then I would have to find or have a set of pistons custom made. Point is I want everthing forged so I can mess around with a turbo and or nitrous set up. Yeah I know you guys are gunna be like dude just buy a turbo motor.. No! I wanna have this built from the ground up. Its cheating in my eyes. That's why its called a project :)

Think you better find out much you can actually bore that block out. I doubt you can take it all the way to a 2.0 or a 2.4.
i think hes talking about making it a stroker.

You guys are smart asses :wtg: haha but yeah perhaps I might make a stroker.. Haha a friend of mine in h town has a eg stroker with toda vtec killer cams.. Idk ima what an see what the mad scientist says once he opens the block up..

in no way was he being a smart ass he was making a very inteligent suggestion. for a honda block to go from a 1.8ltr to a 2.0 requires aftermanket sleeves to acheive the 84mm bore as well as a 89mm crank. that is just an example,dont take every response as a smart ass coment. are you aware of the limits of boring the stcok sleeves? whats your budget? a setup like that would req a head that would def flow bad ass numbers as well as valvetrain that woiuld benefit from the icreased airflow. if yo ualready have someone who is going to build it talk to them,aparently they have worked with these engines before.
what kinda power did your friend make with his eg? what was his compression,bore,stroke,rev limit type of valve tran? saying he has a stroked out eg with vtec killers doesnt really tell us much. and if he has this setup he must def be in the 11s at the track. i know of only two allmotor cars from htown that run 11s. one is onixs k series integra which may be in an eg now and huys stroked out b16 crx. both have run 11.3s allmotor. there is only 4 o 5 cars that have run low 11s allmotor from texas and only 1 that has run 1os. his name is jason and he drives an allmotor crx from redine racing in dallas tx. omar from street scene has run 11.1s but he is from austin.

They are smart and helpful that's what I really ment.... and look bro I don't know much bout the #s of compression and what not that's why im here so you can teach these things. All I know is that his eg is fast, how fast? Idk but its plum crazy purple with black rims and color matched lip :) its sexy. I wanna get him to dyno it ! I love the way it lobes. Well this thread is pretty much over.. The mechanic found a crack and a hole in the block so its done. :(
