Well as most of you know I went up to Arizona and bought my truck(03 2500 with the LB7 duramax). I found out about a week after I bought it that it needs injectors so i was planning to bight the bullet and pay the 3500-4000 bucks to replace them and drive this thing until it dies. But now I just found out my rear is starting to whine pretty bad and now I'm getting a glow plug malfunction service engine soon light and I really want nothing to do with this piece of shit anymore. I'm trying to decide the best way to unload it. Should I go ahead and replace all the things that are screwing up on me and try to sell it or just sell as is? I knew owning a big diesel truck wouldn't be cheap, but needing to drop almost 6 grand in the first 6 months of owning this truck has kind of ruined my love for it.

the rearend and glowplugs are no big deal, but you knew what you were getting into with the injectors. every LB7 and LLY ever made will eventually have injector problems.

from what I've read the glow plugs are a bitch to change out. I'm not too worried about the rear, but I'm just pissed that the assholes I bought it from acted like there was nothing wrong with the truck. i knew getting the truck I would eventually have to deal with the injectors, but I didn't think it would happen this soon. I can't believe GM is being such a douche about the whole injector situation. I have about 124,xxx on this truck, but it's too old to get new injectors through the special policy. And another thing that really pisses me off is the fact that GM won't release the patent on the injectors so no other injector company can try to figure out the problem with them and fix it. 2500 bucks for 8 injectors is outrageous if you ask me. and that's just the stock ones....

Yeah, one of the many reasons I refuse to own a GM diesel truck. Ford superduty or cummins diesel ftw.

the ford 7.3 is the only diesel worth owning that ford has made in the past 10 years. And cummins is a definite yes.
I'm just gonna wait until i get my tax return and replace the injectors and then trade it in on a nice little luxury sports car.

6.0/6.4 powerstrokes are good if yoh upgrade the head studs. 06+ duramaxes are good but i wont own an LB7 or LLY without a warranty.

We just had a company truck that is an 06 F250 with the 6.0 that we just sold for cheap because we found out that we had to spend about 5 grand to see if the head gasket was the problem with it. Not a fan at all.
And I thought about either an LLY or an LBZ but I'm kind of tired of paying 140 bucks in diesel every week.....
