I saw a dark blue late 80's early 90's :?: tubbed Mustang go by work the other day. That's a mean looking MOFO! Sounded mean too when it went by. 8) Who owns that one?
If you didn't say tubbed but said it had chrome rims, I would've said it was kwik5.0, it's a beautiful car.
I've never seen a tubbed fox cruisin around vtown though.

Yeah,Kwik's car is real nice! This one's almost the same color as his,but it has some steamrollers out back.
Bill, that Mustang Belongs to the guy that used to race the Baby blue step side farm truck back in the day...you remember him right? :?:
Bill75Monzter
05-22-2004, 08:40 AM
Yeah I remember him.Glad to see he is still into it! Just hope he didn't wedge that monster 502 Chevy into it! No,that would be cool if he did,the way it powered that heavy old truck,I always used to wander what it would do in something lighter.Kind of like your Stang, always thought about that combo, always want to try something different. The Camino is a different car anyway.Putting in Lexan from work and all fiberglass I can get for it.I might have to put a 502 in the bed of it so it will hook up,since it's on one serious diet.Everybody's so fast now I'm gonna have to go all out this time!Anyway, good luck with y'alls cars! I'd like to check y'all out at the San Antonio track when everyone goes. Was hoping to go to Madness tonight to see you take care of the shit talkers but I guess no one's going :?: Anyway,if you see Eric, tell him "COOL CAR"
that mustang has that monster 502 Chevy engine in it u should pull next to him he put ya'll away! It's a low 10 second car even better if if he needs it! That car don't play games!

I believe that's all true! I would take the horse emblem off the grill and put a bowtie in it's place just to piss people off! For all I know that may be the case, didn't see the front. Can't go wrong with Chevy power.......... :D
Chevy's can make lot of power if u have the right stuff!
hey BILL, thought i would do some shameless self-promotion on the progress of the mustank509, seeing how everybody else does it. just got through running a 10.07 at 134mph on motor only and on super unleaded fuel friday nov. 5 at s.a. raceway. great weather, bad track, worn out tires. not bad for a 9.00:1 comp motor, iron oval port heads and a flat tappet mech. camshaft in a so called "purpose built" street car. this old ass 509 motor still making power after all these years. plan on running at MM nov. 20 with new tires and much overdue tuning on the motor to hopefully achieve my goal of running into the 9's on pump gas and motor only. been sort of busy helping DOUG RIESTERER run his outlaw pro-mod this season, which ran a best of 4.18 at 173mph in the 1/8 mile. not bad for a nitrous car. looking to make improvements in the off season to be more competitive next year.

Hey there is nothing wrong with promoting that beast! I was really impressed seeing it run in S.A. It's amazing what the right combination can do. The" Chevy Power", in a Ford is what I enjoy the most. A Big Block at that :!: With 9's in sight ,all-motor, that's just killer. Maybe some 8's on the HOSE ? Man, good luck taming that animal !!!!!!! I'm jealous

Hey Eric just wondering how much your mustang weighs :?:
about 3140 lbs. give or take a cheeseburger or two and a good healthy movement. oops gotta go, natures a callin!!!!!! :x  :D
oh so close but no cigar. mustank509 ran a 10.003 at 135 mph friday at s. a. raceway. new tires and my fat ass put 10 more extra in the car. plan on going dec. 17 and dec. 18 to s. a. raceway if weather permits, maybe then we can fire up the victory cigar. maybe this time there won't be a red light in the other lane, so bring me all you have for a rematch. you know who. well off to the store to find a good laxative and then get to work on the car for next week.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!! finally turned a pass in the nines with the mustank509. how about a 9.934 at 135.91 mph friday night dec 17 at s. a. raceway. good weather conditions with finally a descent track with some bite in it. might still go to MM on sat. dec 18 if everything checks okay on the car. could be the last time i'll run on pump gas and motor only. a little blue bottle might find it's way into the car after the holidays. we'll see. could there be a 8 second pass in the future. HMM???? come on you doubters, speak up!!!!
that stang is a monster, to bad there isnt ford power under the hood. chevy power

damn good numbers, did you make it out there sat. after all? congrats and later jason
made it sat also. ran a couple of 9.94's at 136 mph. then ran a 10.004 against 1SS2NV for the final run of the night. 60ft was the best all night long but hazed the tires about 100ft out and pulled toward the center strip which i rode the rest of the way down for the win. seems like two street racers need to work on their lights. one week: red light. next week: caught sleeping. come on it's free e.t. well, flipped a coin, it came up heads, so i guess it's time for the bottle. so could the 8's be in sight??? i can't here you!!! i can take it.

New Blue- Are you gong to run the COTT this year. They changed the rules in true street. They did away with the 15 mile drive.
Steven
as soon as freddy decides on what the rules will truly be for 2005, we'll see. he has not made it official on what the changes will be. besides, even if there is a mandatory drive or not, that would not be the determining factor on whether i would compete in real street. 15 or 20 mile drive is no problem for me. also, if it does not interfer with the race schedule of doug's car i might run cott. it will most likely be the may race at s.a. raceway, thats a long time from now. you never know, i might sell the car and everything i own and spend all my money jumping into a big pile of strippers. too much life to live till may. do you and craig plan on taking the ole' mighty6 pickup truck and running it in true street as well??? also, there might be a change in plans for the rest of the winter. might try to go to baytown and see how fast i can get the mustank509 to run at sea level conditions. i think i could run in the 9:70's range on super unleaded and motor only. decisions, decisions, decisions!!! i can't make up my mind; nos, 9:70's or strippers??? what do ya'll think???

The first race for COTT is in Oklahoma. Our motor is apart right now. Were trying to get a aluninum head and a single 4 barrel carb. We wanted to run cheap street but they have to many petty rules. So we may just run true street depending which the rules go.
Go to Houston and make 2 motor passes, 2 nitrous passes and hit the strippers on the way home
as long as you pay for the trip, i will be more than willing to go to oklahoma. decided to pay off all my bills and start the new year debt free, so i'm flat ass broke. i'm just glad i won all my beer bets on the a&m and longhorn bowl games today. that's why i'm trying to decide whether or not to run nos right now. can't afford the racing fuel and fill up the nitrous bottles. any donations will be gladly be accepted (the strippers will be happy to). they don't seem to like loose change.

Just swipe the NOS bottles of that red car and mix some of that racing gas 70/30 .
I not even sure the COTT is even worth messing with. Sealy has four index classes that are cheaper entry fee and higher payout. No rules to argue over either.
i have been looking at those new indexes that their running at sealy and i think their going to run them at hmp also. i agree with you on being cost friendly. looks like a class of indexes where i can run nitrous and be competitive in and not have to worry about trying to fit into a specific heads up class. i don't have the mega cubic dollars to keep up with those heads up classes. i run as fast as what my wallet lets me run. i does the best i can do. even though i'd still rather run 1/4 mile over 1/8 mile. so well see as soon as i get the nitrous tune up dailed in.

I would like to run 1/4 also but 1/8 has some advantages also. Your car runs about 6.20s in the 1/8 right on motor. If mine would run 6.20s on motor that the class I would run. Dont want to push the MIGHTY6 to hard because it is 70 year old chassis I'm ridin in :D :D Will see what happens with all these classes.
Yes, HMP has a index class. It's a nice track but thee pit layout is messed up. Have you ever been there? I would rather go to Sealy and get home a little earlier this 4:00-5:00am sucks!
Do you have a plate on that motor or was it a fogger? Were still working on the nitrous coupling so Doug wont slave labor you to hard this year  That coupling doesnt look like much work to manufacture but it is. We have been using it on Bobby's car sence the day you seen it at Angleton Raceway. No failures yet is a good sign.
SOOOO did Doug start cutting on his car again. Damn the paint hasnt even dryied good yet
nope, never been to hmp yet, been wanting to go to check it out. figured it was easier to just go to s.a. raceway than to go to hmp and fight all that houston traffic. sealy does sound like the better option. i'm just trying to have fun until the slave master starts his season. hurry up with those couplers, kind of hard to check out the ladies when i'm working so hard between rounds. no fogger on the car, just a plate. i'll wait till i build a real race motor for the car. don't talk so loud about doug's car. spies could be listening. a lot of top secret stuff going on. if you drive by his house, you better duck. you might get hit by all that flying pieces of pipe. come on, only 6:20's, that new head should shave off a least 500 to 750 pounds off the mighty6.

When you leave HMP at midnight you better not break down it in a ruff part of town. It's just as far to drive as Baytown.
I meant 6.20s on motor then well turn the gas on. The new head isnt much lighter than the iron head beacause its soooo much thicker in areas that the head gasket would blow in. This head is like a Big Cheif 6cyl head with the ports all moved around. From 125-175 hp the old head didnt go any faster just blew head gaskets.
I need to go buy and see your slave master. Soooo dont peek thought the windows is what your saying
went to baytown this friday night to check out the prostock and promods running in the superbowl of prostock and see how fast i could run on a killer prepared track. weather was the best i've ever ran in, but unfortunely came up short of running a 9.70 e.t. best time the mustank509 was able to run was a 9.88 at 136 mph. kept jetting up on the carb to match up with high barometer, but could not get any more power from the super unleaded feul. still happy with the overall performance this winter, far exceeded what i thought the car could run. so i guess it's time to hit the bracket races and get ready for super chevy in april at s.a. raceway. chevy powered mustang in the winner's circle, that'll piss'em off.

Congrats  . Who would the chevy powered mustang piss off :?: I know your not talkin about the chevrolet people.
it will piss off the people who take things to seriously. build a car like mine and you will see what i'm talking about. sure there has been a lot of positive comments about the car. especially what that hot drop dead gorgeous girl said to me at baytown friday night. (tried to get her number, but man she sure could run fast). a lot of people thinks it's a cool car and you can tell when they are trying to be funny about a chevy motor in a mustang, it's all in good fun. true racers know hard work and craftmanship when they see it. but i also remember some of those negative comments as well. one of those comments was told to my face one night at s.a. raceway and another comment i overheard was at the fathers day car show in victoria. those and other negative comments i never forget. all i try to do is use both positive and negative comments to keep working hard to perform the best i can and give the fans a show that they pay to see.

Don't sweat it Eric! Chevy/mustangs are more comon than most people think. We were at Sealy Sat. and there was two of them racing. I'm sure the poeple who take it that serious still belive nitrous is "cheating". In due time it will be accepted. Hell I guess that why companies are building custom K members for Chevy/Mustang combonations.
I had a guy tell me I wasted a good truck by putting a 6 in it. As the night went on Bobby k. asked him for a match ( mid 70 camaro w/tunnel ram and dual carbs though the hood) race. The guy just laughed and said yes. We busted his ass so bad they loaded up and went home. Yep, some poeple take shit to seriously.
How was HRP Saturday? Was the track preped good or did you walk on it. Do you know what the ideal track temp is?
i was at hrp on friday, not saturday. i got there about 5:15pm, track felt really good, but track temp seemed to a few degrees cold for the promods and prostocks. when i was unloading the car i could hear most of them launching then going into tire shake a few feet out. when i made my passes from 7:30 to 10:15, track weather was in the range of 47 degrees temp, 30.42 barometer and 85% to 90% humidity. kind of cold and humid for the power that these guys make. from talking to some of our competitors, temps in the 50 degree range really makes it hard to get them down track. but tod moyer in his turbo powered 10.5 outlaw car was flying. i was behind him in the staging lanes when he ran that 6.94 at 203mph. that car was just plain gone. he was kicking but all night long.

Damn 50 degrees track temp. Sealy was 63 degrees, 85% hum and the track was 62-63 ish. We were the only car that went down the track every pass including the big tire 5.20 index cars.
Yes, Moyer is hauling ass.

Daddy like!
I'm sure it was a PITA getting that motor to fit.
finally got the mustank509 on the track this last saturday with the little blue bottle along for the ride for the first time ever. set-up the nitrous tuneup on the fat side, hoping not to burnup a piston and took a guess on the suspension set-up, hoping not to drive it into the wall. after a few runs and a lot of tuning on the motor and suspension, finally turned a best time of a 9.26 at 150 mph. if the idiot behind the steering wheel would not have let his foot slip off the gas pedal after the launch(big ass wheelie caught me by surprise)the car would have run a little faster than it did. so for the first time out with the bottle, it didn't quite run in the 8's yet. with some tuning on the motor and suspension i'm still not going to give up. hopefully by the end of the year i can get that 8 second time slip. also, doug will soon be back out with the outlaw pro-mod within the next two weeks. repairs are almost finished and as soon as they are, we will be hitting the pro-mod circuit again.

New Blue- What track did you run that E.T. at ?
ran those e.t.'s at s.a. raceway. took the car on a bracket race day. track was in really good condition for a hot summer day. plenty of track bite and rubber was laid down. if the weather turns around and gets cooler with a high barometer, i might go to MM oct 22. want to see what effects the change in weather has on a single stage nitrous setup. i hope there will be some improvement. if not, i might have to fireball the motor to get into the 8's.

My single stage setup picks up a tenth on the 1/8 mile. I might go on the 22nd and check it out. I havent been to the track 3-4 months. I 'm starting to have withdraws
